About Jack

Jack’s journey in dance began at a local dance school in Colchester, where his passion for movement first took shape. In 2011, he joined DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training, spending six years developing his skills before moving on to the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. There, Jack graduated with a First-Class Honours degree and became part of Verve for the 2020/21 season.

Since then, Jack has worked as a freelance dance artist, performing with choreographer Douglas Thorpe and appearing in Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet with New Adventures. Alongside performing, he is passionate about sharing dance with others, leading workshops in schools across Essex and working with DanceEast as a Kickstart Company dancer, collaborating with artists and organisations including FUBUNATION and DanceEast CAT.

More recently, Jack co-founded Tomfoolery Dance Theatre, combining dance and physical theatre to create bold, imaginative new work. The company’s production, So-Fa, So Good, premiered at Brighton Fringe, marking an exciting new chapter in Jack’s creative journey.
